Onze Natuur tells the stories of familiar and lesser-known animals and plants in the Low Countries: who wins, who loses, and how to survive in a country where wild nature seems to have little room. The film sets out to inspire wonder and respect.

The cinema film, narrated by Matteo Simoni, drew more than 300,000 visitors and won the Ensor for Best Documentary. A seven-part series followed on Canvas and VRT MAX, hosted by Wim Opbrouck. Each episode is built around one element: water, earth, air, fire, wood and stone. The final episode looks at the role of people.
